Continue In Prayer
“Continue in prayer…” – Colossians 4:2
In the Sunday morning message yesterday from Colossians 4:2, we addressed the issue of prayer. But not just “drive-through” short prayers—as important as they are—but intentional times of continuing in prayer.
The word continue means to be devoted to; to be persistent in. As we make time to pray, we are stay at it and to persist in it until God answers—either in giving us what we have asked for or in changing us to ask differently. As I said yesterday, we need to be superglued to prayer!
We also spent time developing a personal Growth Point in the afternoon (you can download the handout here if you need one). I believe a number of people made specific and measurable decisions to pray this week.
I am very excited to see what God will do when so many are taking the time to continue in prayer this week!
How about you? Are you devoted to prayer?
